Jack Bashful is an Irish MC and producer hailing from Lurgan with influences ranging from Grime, Hip Hop and Jazz. 
 In early 2018, Bashful dropped his first project, the EP “Fictional Clientele” which was heavily laced with a throwback jazz rap influence, but given a renewed perspective from its Irish narrator. 
 Later that year, he dropped his first full length project in “Obsidian”, recorded with fellow MC and within the well-respected “Skank FM” space, this was a collection of tracks that begun Bashful’s story. It was boosted with production contributions from fellow artists cbakl and Marcus Woods . The music blog Chordblossom stated that “Jack Bashful has set a benchmark not only for Northern Irish Rap but for an independently released Northern Irish album in 2018”. 
 2019 seen a different approach taken as Bashful decided to put more emphasis on his production. This materialised into his “Flavours of France” instrumental album, which combines his love of French culture with breakbeats and samples. The track “Dans Ses Bras” was included in “7 new Irish songs you should hear this week” on popular music blog nialler9. 
 2020 will see Bashful return to the mic as he readies a follow up to “Obsidian”. - Josh Henry, Frosted.ie
